Northern Europe isn’t exactly famous for it’s hot, sunny days, even at the height of summer. Still, I was hopeful when my Greek friend Ilia, invited me to join her on a day trip to Scheveningen Beach in the Hague. Our little adventure took about an hour and half by Intercity. By the time we arrived it had already gotten cloudy and cool. The temperamental weather here in Netherlands is the reason most people would rather make their way to the nearest park than travel to the beach, but it’s still nice to know that we have them nearby.
